APPOINTMENT DAY.

Dentist cleaning, night guard impressions and eye doctor all in one day.

I always like having my appointments all in one day (especially because of work) just to get them done and over with. So it was time for my teeth cleaning and NO cavities (: Not a huge surprise because I brush my teeth at least three times a day, including mouth wash and flossing once per day. I guess that's what you get for working at an orthodontics office for three years! Very good teeth hygiene!

It was a quick clean and then I had to get the impression for my night guard! Last year I sprained my jaw and a month later re-ripped my torn jaw muscle when getting my wisdom teeth out so ever since then I have had horrible TMJ. What happens is when I sleep I clench my jaw shut the entire night and when I wake up I have lock jaw and pretty bad headaches /: And the pain in my jaw can stay for awhile so I am so glad I am finally getting this guard! It was crazy expensive though! Thank goodness for insurance! My appointment started at 10:50 and I had to be outta there by 11:45 if I wanted to be on time to my eye appointment. I booked it it all the way from Choklov, down fourth plain, and back down 164th to my eye appointment and actually showed up early! I was so excited because I am finally getting contacts (: I wear my glasses but they're such a hassle it'll be nice to just have them in my eyes rather than on my face! Turns out my lens is a bit more expensive (here we go again..) because I need a progressive lens (who knows what that really means, but apparently it's rare for young people to need it?). Then I had to go through learning how to put them in and take them out and clean them and all the fun stuff. Finally I learned that I can't use regular saline to clean my contacts every night!!! I have issues... So I now have alcohol based cleaner that coverts to water while cleaning my lens and if I put them in my eyes any earlier than six hours than the alcohol will burn my eyes! /: yay me! But it's still worth it. I am so grateful for my night guard and contacts and can not wait for the guard (I get it next week)!

So after my expensive day of learning all the problems I have with my eyes and jaw, I finally got home! To end my crazy day I went biking seven miles with my bf and am spending the rest of the night eating a little pizza and having movie/game night at the Nelsons (: Couldn't have gone better!
